Maintenance

Do you have any light – maintenance tasks that need to be done?

  • People with a disability are among the poorest people in the nation and are without the physical or financial ability to perform the smallest of maintenance tasks
  • Family members are often so overwhelmed and burdened that they cannot carry out these tasks
  • LDAG provides a free-of-charge service for its members; this service takes care of minor repairs, grass cutting and other light-maintenance tasks

It is a service that has added a sense of pride to our members who have used it; their homes look spruced up and they are not stressed out trying unsuccessfully to perform the tasks themselves.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays our worker is available to carry out these jobs. Just remember that our worker is not a house cleaner, personal shopper or contractor of heavy labour.

The service is free; if you wish to avail of it contact: Maria - 01-6100475

We are dependent on donations and fundraising to offer this service and due to shortage of funds, we can only offer the service 2 days a week—which means there is usually a waiting period of 3 – 4 weeks

Funds permitting, we would like to expand this service to 5 days a week.
